I bought my brother a coffee table book that was extremely difficult to track down, as it is no longer in print. I finally foudn it, after several emails to Dymocks, at a shop on Broadway in Sydney.
I got my mum some Peter Alexander jammies, they're what she wanted and i will also get her something else too. As my brother is horrible with money, spends it (with interest) before he even earns it. I am going to half the price of his present with mum, so he doesn't fell bad about me spending lots of money, as he told me not to get him anything much.
One of my goals for 09 was to read 20 + books, but due to an unexpected workload and a long prac this year i have only read 17 so far. I was reding War and Peace, but that will have to wait until I've reached my goal. I borrowed some James Bond books to get me to 20, as they are easy to read and rather amusing.
I need to decide what 'big' gift to ask Santa for. I got a DS lat year and i rarley use it, which makes me feel guilty. I think I'll ask for water pearls, fake pearl earrings and some new floral curtains, but I doubt santa will be able to find those in this small town.

This year was the last for Hige Danshaku at the M-1 Grand Prix. However, they left the competition with much regrets, having being eliminated after the 3rd round in the preliminaries.

I really want a Betsey Johnson wedding dress. But if that doesn't work out I might consider getting a custom made Anne Namba kimono-inspired wedding dress. Dresses are made to order and are reconstructed from vintage kimonos and obis from Japan. Prices range from about 1,500 to 3,000 dollars. Her store is located in Manoa close to where I live. I discovered her designs an hour or so ago while flipping through Hawaii Bride magazine. Her look appeals to the Gouk and Qutie Frash lover in me!

Today was a PR event for Oshii Mamoru’s new live-action movie called "Assault Girls" starring actress Kuroki Meisa among others. Recently she denied a possible relationship between her and kabuki actor Nakamura Shido, thus reporters once again plastered her with questions regarding her love life. However, Kuroki had a very cool response. "Love? I’ll become a woman who doesn’t need a man."
